A mixed approach, where some drivers use digital systems and others rely on paper, can create gaps unless responsibilities are clearly documented.

For owner-drivers and fleet managers, the insurance lesson is straightforward: digital fatigue tools are most useful when they are part of a wider risk-management plan. Before assuming they will reduce premiums or improve claims outcomes, operators may wish to seek professional advice, review policy obligations and ensure their records genuinely support the way the business operates.
